Villa Chempaka offers a beautiful experience of Ubud with spacious, tastefully decorated cottages surrounded by lush greenery, where I enjoyed listening to the sounds of nature from my private veranda.
The location can be quite noisy due to live music from nearby bars, which may bother those who prefer a quieter environment for relaxation.

The breakfast was delicious, had variety of options and the food was cheap! The accommodation had a central location to pretty much everything in the village.

The hotel was quiet and little, with absolutely perfect location connected to nature. Location: the venue was just next door to nice restaurants and places to stay at. Being a short walk to Yo was nice, we had dinner there...

We loved our breakfast on our little deck. The closeness to the rice paddies and the centre of Ubud. The bed...it was so big and comfortable...great sleep!
If I was really pushed to be negative it would have to be the pool. Set right in front of one of the villas made you feel odd using it.

great location but inconsistent service
The location near various restaurants was a huge plus for convenience. The cottage I stayed in offered a serene ambiance with beautiful decor that reflected Ubud's charm. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast made fresh every morning, specifically the local flavors offered. Nearby, I discovered a yoga class at Honeymoon Guesthouse that complemented my stay perfectly.

The design of the house, the proximity of a rice field with dirty ducks, the pretty good location, 10 mins walk to Ubud Palace, the nice small pool.
The architecture of the house allowed geckos to come in and during the night we couldn't sleep due to their loud sounds. Worse then that, after a day we could see their urine and poos on the floor and it started to smell bad. We were lucky we booked only 2 nights. Also, even though it was advertised with free wifi, the internet was not working for us during the entire stay.

The quiet location. Close enough to walk into Ubud easily. Lovely view from balconies of rooms across rice paddy. Peaceful location. Small hotel. The rooms were very clean, spacious. All fittings worked well. Rooms were lovely and airy and could be modified for light and air.
For me, the bed was too hard, which can be a common thing. Beds were of decent quality, but I like soft top layer for resting body.

very nice and quiet setting, rice paddies just in front, local shops, bikes, tours and restaurants 5-10 mins walk, literally in the middle of Ubud but without the hassle of the main street
